This course provides nurses and other mid-level healthcare professionals with an in-depth discussion of the difference between allergies and medication side effects. Course objectives include identifying the pathophysiology, signs, and symptoms of medication-related allergic reactions; comparing the differences between medication-related allergic reactions, side effects, and adverse drug reactions; and recognizing the healthcare providers’ role in identifying, managing, and documenting medication-related allergic reactions, side effects, and adverse drug reactions.
